Handcrafted Jewelry: Materials, Customization, Care & Warranty

This guide contains general information about JeieaM handcrafted jewelry. Materials and construction can vary by design, so the individual product description is always the most specific source for the exact piece.

Materials

Steel-tone handcrafted jewelry: Depending on the design, JeieaM uses 304–316L stainless-steel wire and stainless-steel components where specified.

Gold-tone handcrafted jewelry: Depending on the design, JeieaM uses quality gold-tone plated jewelry wire and components. Individual listings may also specify gold-plated, 18K gold-plated, or PVD-coated stainless-steel components. A gold-tone handcrafted item should not be assumed to be solid gold unless the product page explicitly states that it is.

Pearls, gemstones and natural materials: Selected pieces may feature cultured freshwater pearls, natural gemstones or crystals, mother-of-pearl, shell and other natural materials when stated in the product description. Natural materials can vary slightly in color, shape, texture and surface, which makes each piece individual.

Fine jewelry: Fine-jewelry products are separate from the handcrafted collection. Exact precious metal, gemstone, diamond, weight and hallmark information is stated on the individual fine-jewelry listing.

Plating, PVD and color wear

Gold plating and other surface finishes can gradually change with wear. PVD-coated stainless steel is selected for improved durability, but no surface finish should be treated as completely permanent. Longevity depends on wear, skin chemistry, storage and exposure to water, perfume, cosmetics, chemicals and abrasion.

Jewelry care

• Store jewelry clean and dry, preferably separately to reduce scratching and tangling.
• Avoid direct contact with perfume, hairspray, lotions, household cleaners, chlorine and other harsh chemicals.
• Remove jewelry before swimming, showering, bathing, exercising or prolonged water exposure whenever possible.
• After wear, gently wipe the piece with a soft dry cloth.
• For pearls and natural stones, avoid harsh cleaners and abrasive polishing products.

Customization

Eligible JeieaM handcrafted earrings, rings, bracelets, necklaces and jewelry sets may offer personalization options directly on the product page. Availability depends on the design.

Where the initial option is offered, polished stainless-steel bubble initials in a steel tone are €1 per initial, with a maximum of three initials per jewelry piece. Approximate dimensions are L 7–10 mm × W 5–8 mm and vary by letter.

Customers can also describe a small alteration, placement or arrangement and, where the option is available, upload an optional reference image. These options are for minor adjustments to an existing JeieaM design. A completely new design requires a separate quotation.

Additional customization charges

If a requested alteration requires additional work or materials beyond the customization already paid for at checkout, JeieaM will contact the customer before proceeding. We do not automatically charge an additional amount to the payment card after checkout. A separate invoice or payment request may be sent, and the customized order will proceed or ship after the additional amount has been paid.

Made-to-order and preorder pieces

Many handcrafted pieces are made to order or offered on preorder, while selected designs may be available from stock. Production and dispatch time can vary by design. The product page and order communication provide the most relevant timing information. Rush dispatch should not be assumed for made-to-order or preorder pieces.

90-Day Handcrafted Jewelry Warranty

Eligible JeieaM handcrafted jewelry includes a 90-day warranty for qualifying repair needs. Customers should contact support@jeieam.com with the order number, a description of the issue and clear photos so eligibility can be reviewed. The warranty applies only to eligible handcrafted pieces and does not replace the separate return rights that may apply to an order.

Returns for personalized or custom items

Custom products, special orders and personalized items are non-returnable because they are made or altered to the customer's specifications. If a customized item arrives defective, damaged or incorrect, the customer should contact JeieaM promptly so the issue can be evaluated and made right in accordance with the store policy.

Material questions and sensitivities

If a customer needs an exact material specification for allergy or sensitivity reasons, the individual product description should be checked first. Because materials can vary by design, customers should contact support@jeieam.com before ordering if they need confirmation about a specific component.
