JeieaM handcrafted jewelry is made in small quantities using carefully selected metals, genuine freshwater pearls, gemstones, crystals, and decorative components. Materials can vary by design, so the individual product page remains the most specific source for each piece.

Steel-tone pieces

For handcrafted steel-tone wire and selected metal components, JeieaM uses 304 or 316L stainless steel depending on the component and design. Stainless steel is chosen for its durability and good resistance to corrosion and everyday wear.

Gold-tone pieces

Gold-tone handcrafted designs can use gold-plated wire, 18K gold-plated components, or PVD gold-plated stainless steel. The exact finish used for a particular item is stated on the individual product page when applicable.

About rust and corrosion

Stainless steel is considerably more resistant to rust and corrosion than many common jewelry metals, but no jewelry should be treated as completely maintenance-free. Prolonged exposure to chlorine, salt water, strong cleaning products, perfumes, lotions, or other harsh chemicals can affect metals, finishes, pearls, gemstones, and plated surfaces over time.

Sensitive skin

Do not assume that every JeieaM piece is nickel-free or hypoallergenic unless the individual product description specifically states this. Customers with known metal sensitivities should contact JeieaM before ordering so the materials of the selected design can be checked.

Pearls and gemstones

Natural and cultured freshwater pearls and genuine gemstones can have small differences in color, shape, texture, inclusions, and surface characteristics. These natural variations are part of the character of each piece and are not considered defects.

Care

Store jewelry dry in a soft pouch or jewelry box. Apply perfume, lotion, and cosmetics before putting jewelry on. Remove jewelry before swimming, bathing, exercising, or using household chemicals. Wipe metal surfaces gently with a soft dry cloth after wear. Pearls and softer gemstones should be handled especially gently.

Handcrafted warranty

Eligible JeieaM handcrafted jewelry is covered by a 90-day handcrafted warranty for qualifying workmanship issues. Normal wear, accidental damage, misuse, loss, improper care, and natural wear of plating or finishes are not treated as manufacturing defects.
